We have been waiting for 5 tears to get Cat Ridgeway and her band at Carrie’s Corner.  We saw her at Matilda’s last year and couldn’t wet to ask her to come play for us!
Cat Ridgeway is a dynamic and versatile musician from Orlando, FL (now splitting her time between FL and Colorado) who has been making waves in the indie rock and pop scene. Known for her powerful vocals, high-energy performances, and multi-instrumental talents, Cat has established herself as a formidable presence in the music industry.
Cat’s music defies easy categorization, blending elements of indie rock, punk, dream pop, and folk into a unique sound that is distinctly her own. Her versatility as a musician is evident in her ability to play multiple instruments, often simultaneously, creating complex and layered soundscapes during her performances.
Cat Ridgeway is known for her electrifying live shows, often performing with her band “The Tourists.” Her performances are characterized by their unpredictability and high energy, with band members switching instruments mid-song and Cat herself sometimes jumping behind the drums
She has played at numerous notable venues and festivals, including:
Lincoln Center
30A Songwriters Festival
Okeechobee Music and Arts Fest
Philadelphia Folk Festival
House of Blues Orlando
Cat has shared bills with renowned artists such as Arcade Fire, Leon Bridges, Sylvan Esso, and Lucy Dacus1. She has also directly supported acts like Houndmouth, Amanda Shires, and Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famer Marty Balin
As of February 2025, Cat Ridgeway has been working on her latest album titled “Sprinter.” This ambitious project explores themes of life, death, and resilience, drawing from Cat’s personal experiences with loss and mental health struggles3. The album was recorded in collaboration with Mike Savino (Kishi Bashi, Tall Tall Trees) in Asheville.
